Our recent basketball tournament was a resounding success. Congratulations to all the players on both the boys' and girls' teams for their dedication, exceptional effort, and for representing their school with pride and sportsmanship throughout the competition.










The Steve Carter Education Program provides $1,500 vouchers to families of eligible K-12 public school students per school year. These digital vouchers are used to purchase high-quality literacy and math tutoring.
Program Details:

We would like to thank the Positive Dads & Kids Organization for making a stop at Plaisance Middle School and allowing our staff and students to have a great start to our day after receiving such a positive greeting.










This week we would like to highlight our Student Council Club. Our students are doing a great job voicing their opinions and seeking ways to make improvements around our campus and also reach out to our community and find ways in which we can help. Great job mighty Indians!





Plaisance Middle School's Christmas program was truly a joyous and entertaining event. Thanks to all of the staff and students who worked so diligently to make the program a success. Special thanks to Mr. Cassimere for coming out and supporting our school.










The After-School Tutoring Program at P.M.S. will restart on Monday Jan. 12th for all tutoring students at its regularly scheduled times.

Attention PMS Families and Community... Dress Code for the incoming Cold Weather Blast...
On Dec. 15-16 there will be extremely cold weather. Here are the following adjustments to the dress code:
* Outerwear: As per current policy, students should wear school-appropriate jackets or sweatshirts, as long as they are hoodless. Hoodies are permitted for students in grades pre-k through 4 only.
* Bottoms: School-appropriate jeans, joggers, or sweatpants are allowed. *No pajamas
* Headwear: Knit caps, earmuffs, and beanies are encouraged for warmth. However, these must be removed once inside the school building.
* Footwear: Regular school shoes are required at all times.
* Layering: We strongly encourage layering clothing to ensure students stay warm.
The SLPSB urges that sure these guidelines are followed to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for all students.
Greetings Plaisance Community! We are hosting our annual Christmas Food Drive. The food drive will take place from December 1-15. Please make all donations at Plaisance Middle School to Ms. V. Thomas.

Attention PMS Parents and Families with the cold weather upon us please remember that Hoodies and/or Hooded jackets are not allowed. Please help us by making sure your kid(s) leave home with warm jackets/coats and/or knit caps to help fight the cold temperatures. Please also remember blankets at school are not allowed.
