🎬🕺💃 MACA Movie & Dance Party Celebration! 🎉
Before heading off for break, our MACA family came together on Friday for a fun-filled movie and dance party to celebrate the amazing achievements of our students and school community. We proudly recognized being an A-rated school once again, ranking 7th in the state, and earning the honor of being one of only TWO National ESEA Distinguished Schools in Louisiana.
This celebration reflected the hard work, positive behavior, and strong school pride shown by our students and staff every day. We are incredibly proud of our MACA family and had a blast celebrating together! 💙✨

🖌️ Art students brought creativity to life with live drawing and painting while displaying their stunning pieces. 💃 Dance performances filled the stage with excitement, 🎶 choir members delivered beautiful vocals, and 📣 the spirit team kept the energy high and the crowd cheering.
📝 Creative writers captivated the audience with original, well-written works, 🎷 band students once again impressed with outstanding performances, 🎭 theater students entertained everyone with a comical and well-executed skit, and 👟 the step team brought strong rhythm and style with an outstanding routine.
✨ This celebration was a true display of MACA’s incredible talent and the perfect send-off before our holiday break! 🎁🎉

Our 8th graders had a fantastic time creating their gingerbread houses using festive kits and colorful stickers! 🍬🎄
Each student added their personal touch, building unique designs filled with creativity and holiday cheer. The classroom buzzed with laughter and excitement as they decorated their houses with fun stickers and sweet accessories! 🍭🍫

We are proud to showcase our very own MACA Band student, Gabriella H., who performed on Friday at the St. Landry Parish Veterans Memorial for Wreaths Across America.
The performance was a beautiful tribute honoring our nation’s veterans, and we are so proud of the talent, respect, and professionalism she displayed while representing MACA. Thank you, Gabriella, for using your gift to honor those who served.

🎁💙 Spreading Holiday Cheer!
Our Student Government, in partnership with the Opelousas Rotary Club, organized a heartwarming initiative to bring joy and comfort to nursing home residents. The Shoppe D’Noël Care Packages for Seniors drive was a beautiful example of our students giving back and supporting our community.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this project a success! 🌟
The Beta Club held its annual induction ceremony on Friday, December 5, welcoming its newest members into the organization. Parents, guardians, and all current members were invited to attend this special event in celebration of academic excellence, leadership, and service.
During the ceremony, the club proudly recognized not only newly inducted students but also all transferring members who have joined the school’s chapter this year. Their accomplishments and commitment to the values of Beta Club were honored alongside the new inductees.
The event served as a meaningful reminder of the importance of scholarship, character, and community involvement, and the Beta Club looks forward to the positive impact these students will continue to make throughout the year.
